Screaming westward through Royal Oak, Michigan this coal train for Dow Chemical in Midland hopefully will make it up the hill to Pontiac. The GTW got used to these trains being handed off by Conrail with half the power broken down and added units two GP9's at Detroit. The second and third units both U33B's had bitten the dust with only the lead former EL SD45-2 and a U25B working, looking back to September of 1977.
