"CP #937 - Longwood"
Many times making the trip to southwestern Ontario for a day of photography a stop would be made to talk with the Canadian Pacific operator at the remote "Longwood" siding on the Windsor subdivision. Train information and a lineup could be obtained to get the day started, this day when I arrived westbound hotshot #937 was on the bell looming out of the fog. The operator was walking out with the order hoops and took up his position as I ran west down the ROW to set up. I must say I would imagine one never would get used to standing up to a 60 mph train, to hand up orders having to stand that close, but it was part of the job - April 22, 1979.
