With her impending scrapping rumored soon the laker "Manistee" in much better times enters her namesake port coming in off Lake Michigan splitting the piers with a full moon above the clouds. This image with the lighthouse looking on about an hour and a half before sunrise as she brings a coal load in from Chicago for the papermill at the south end of Lake Manistee is finding her way with that powerful blue beam spotlight on top of the pilothouse September 30, 2012.
