The VIA turbo departs Toronto, Ontario for Montreal under the watchful eyes of the CN tower and the Royal York Hotel, the brilliant sunny morning of October 2, 1976 getting ready for some fast running ahead. This morning a number of CP Alco switcher powered transfers, the CP budd cars in the distance plus a number of VIA trains passed by while I waited for CN 6060 to depart east on a run to Peterborough.
