2016 5A State Championship

Statement about the Wenonah High School vs Beauregard Game

Last night the Wenonah High School Varsity Boys football team took on Beauregard for the 5A State Championship. Our team displayed incredible sportsmanship and gave it their best! Although our team didn’t win the championship game, we know that our Dragons are always champions in our eyes. This is what we instill into them each and every day. Our team accomplished a feat that hasn’t been done in several decades.

Principal Regina Carr-Hope issued the following statement this morning about the team:

As our team looks toward the future, we encourage them to be inspired to continue to pursue their dreams and strive to be the best at all that they do. You are a part of the esteemed #DragonNation.

We would like to thank everyone who supported our team during this season. You guys made Wenonah High School the trending topic last night on social media. Because of you, our students were seen all over the world wide web. Our team saw your love and support and it was much appreciated.

We send our well wishes to our BCS family, The Ramsay Rams. Please support them as they play against Opelika tonight in Auburn.

Here are a few of the highlight pictures captured during the game last night.
