YC-125b Raider

The YC-125 Raider was an American three-engine short takeoff and landing (STOL) utility transport built by Northrup Corporation of Hawthorne, CA. The YC-125b shown here was one of ten that was built as an Arctic rescue version. The serial number of this particular airplane is 48-622 (the ten aircraft had serial numbers 48-618/627). The first flight was August 1, 1949 and it was introduced in 1950 and retired in 1955. It was produced in 1949-1950. There were only twenty-three YC-125's produced in total of all versions.
