Choices
When I look at a door I tend not to just look at the solid rectangular item with a knob or handle.
I see choices. Someone probably spent hours deciding and finally made the choice on that door, the color, the material, the texture the style. Then I see the simple choices, keeping the door open, closing it behind you, holding on to the handle as you talk or just walking past an open door without closing it, walking through it to get into the next area.
That last part though, walking through the door, that's the interesting choice. Physically yes you need to get to the other side, the room, the hallway, outside, whatever. However, what that represents, not knowing what's on the other side yet making the choice to go through. Making the choice to not be afraid and face the unexpected. Making the choice to trust what you will find on the other side. Making the choice, come what may, to experience what is on the other side. Well that my friends, that is everything.
Life is a series of choices, we make some bad choices and some good choices. Some of them are as obvious as this red door, some of them not so much. Each choice will shape us into being not who we are today but who we will be tomorrow. Trust your choices and have the experience.
