Saudade

"Saudade" is a word incorporated into Galician and Spanish from Portuguese. It is a rather indefinite word. It refers to an affective feeling close to melancholy, originated by the distance towards something dear and which implies the desire to resolve that distance, be it physical or spiritual. It entails the recognition of knowing that what is missing... will most likely never return.
