"Crowning Glory"
It's amazing what you can construct using an old Half Crown of 1951 vintage, and a few Polo mints .... it's a bit like "Blue Peter" .... "you know a couple of old toilet rolls .... other bits and bobs .... then suddenly you get a lovely Robot, or Aircraft, or something else .... Ha, ha."
ππΉππ
A little information about the value of this English coinage.
One English Half Crown coin was valued at two shillings and sixpence .... equivalent to one eighth of a pound.
20 old shillings were equivalent to one English pound.
40 old sixpence coins were equivalent to one English pound.
"Those were the days!" .... when you knew money meant something .... well with all those heavy coins in your pocket .... "yeh .... the something was weight!"
Jingle, jingle.
ππΉ
No wonder they had such large pockets way back when!
ππ΅
No spearmint Polo's were hurt in the construction of this photograph .... "you may be glad to hear!"
Oh' .... but slowly sucked and gently dissolved in the mouth after the session .... and apparently .... that's ok in this PC world .... well had no complaints so it's really all good!
Happy Macro Monday everyone!
Please stay safe! π·
Love & Peace ππ»π
