These birds in Japanese culture are a symbol of peace !!!!!

Peace in the world would be a fabulous thing, well we can hope, can't we?

This graceful bird had a wonderful distinctive golden crown of feathers, that I thought looked marvellous.

These cranes can have a large wingspan of up to two meters wide, they are quite a large bird.

Done
