NGC 1975, The Running Man, 2019 Dec 30

Orion 150 Mak f/12, AVX, Nikon D750. 5 min x 21 (1 hr 44 min) at ISO 400. Atik OAG, MGEN II. Bortle 6 (18.7 mag/sq arc-sec). Average sky transparency. Tracking was good. Cropped tightly.

 

I'd rather call him the star kicking man. This was difficult to process in PS trying to bring out the nebula while keeping the brighter stars from bloating uncontrollably.

 

Turns out to be my final image of 2019. Looking forward to more and better astrophotography in 2020!
