I must admit to be a little disappointed in one of my latest modifications to my DP1 model. I'd installed ball joints to the pony-truck assembly on each bogie, thinking it would afford more flexibility in adjusting to irregularities in the track, but unfortunately the ball joint gives TOO MUCH flexibility, and lends the pony-truck to derailing occasionally. So, back to the 2x2 turntable design (parts 3679 & 3680)....

[EDIT. My original design used a 'loose' cup for the balljoint. I also tried a friction cup instead (as above), but that was even worse!]
