8. Class 55 (8-wide) in blue and yellow (bluerender)
With the release of set 21306 'The Beatles Yellow Submarine' (brickset.com/sets/21306-1/The-Beatles-Yellow-Submarine), part 88293 is now available in Flame Yellowish Orange (BL=Bright Light Orange), which I hope might pass for BR Yellow for loco-end warning panels. With that in mind, I have re-bricked (legally now, Noa!) my BR class 55, to BR blue with yellow end sections. I've added a nod to the train heating outlets and one or two other details.
I must admit, I think it looks a whole lot better in two-tone green for umpteen reasons, not least of which the yellow noses now emphasise that the 3x3x2 arch bricks are really far too big a radius for the job. Still, it's there for the record.
