Peace Offering

I am so in love with our Carolina Wrens. We have a nest with six eggs in a flower pot inside a small shed next to our house. Mom was sitting on the nest all evening while Dad was out doing whatever. Just before sunset, he appeared on our fence, singing his heart out with a bit of a treat for momma. I think he was saying a little prayer hoping she wouldn't be too mad. Ferguson, Missouri.
