I was the only person at St. Ferdinand Lake and caught an image of the Mandarin Duck taking a short nap. I have a folding stool that I would bring along so I could get some shots close to the ground plus at times they would all walk past me, at one point they were all surrounding me, what a neat experience with being the only person there. Currently, he's still there, the lake is drained, and the city is working on making it deeper. There is an underground natural spring that is flowing into the lake keeping enough water in there. Therefore the ducks are still hanging out as of this past Saturday. Hopefully, they will leave some water while the work is in progress. Photographed in Florissant, Missouri.
