Great crested grebe (Podiceps cristatus)

I am truly humbled by the opportunity of witnessing this spectacle and I cannot describe the feelings that I had while shooting this.

They have appeared very quickly only a few meters in front of me and as soon as they headed for each-other I knew the show is about to begin. The mating ritual of the crested grebe is one of the most elaborated and probably one of the most famous. If you are a nature lover, witnessing the crested grebe's mating ritual should definitely be on your list.
