Footprint Analysis
Using micrometeorological footprint models, the contribution of the area by the permafrost disturbance was determined for each of the two towers separately. This way, we estimated the contribution from undisturbed tundra and the disturbance without the need of installing an eddy covariance system inside the actively moving area of the disturbance. Graphic by A. Christen, A. Cassidy, G. Henry and E. Leinberger, UBC Geography.
More details and results of this measurement campaign have been published in Biogeosciences, 13, 2291-2303.
