The drain train (1)
Looking out towards Rosgill Head, 20901 and 20905 top & tail 6J09, the drain cleaning train, working on the down line between Shap Village and Harrison’s Quarry on Sat 25th May 2024.
The train had worked north from Oxenholme sidings in the early hours of the morning and would spend the day going backwards and forwards on the down line, undertaking drain clearance duties. It was operating under a line closure possession notice and would spend the remainder of the bank holiday weekend in the area.
