Artists comment - Sea Spirit represents a coral reef - exposed and stranded. The cave like form invites the public to enter and explore - sit and ponder about the challenges facing our reef. Delicate, yet at times resiliant.With increasing environmental factors such as rising tides, the warmer seas and a great contributor to coral bleaching and the reef's destruction. Unable to regenerate because of accelerating climate conditions, reefs are open to attack from predatory marine creatures such as the Crown of Thorns Starfish.
