Das Umweltamt und das Gartenamt der Landeshauptstadt Düsseldorf haben das Projekt "Essbare Stadt" ins Leben gerufen. Mit dem Projekt fördert die Landeshauptstadt in diesem Jahr Angebote zum Anbau von Gemüse und Obst auf privaten und öffentlichen Flächen. Die Initiative ging vom Ausschuss für Umweltschutz aus.

The environmental office and the garden department of the state capital Düsseldorf have launched the “Edible City” project. This year, the state capital is using the project to promote offers for growing vegetables and fruit on private and public areas. The initiative came from the Committee for Environmental Protection.
