56105 56049 Blea Moor 6J37 080324 CGee 2H

Stop now, what's that sound, everybody look what's going down.

I took the spaniels up to Blea Moor tunnel portal on Friday on a day with a surprising amount of sunshine given the cloudy/misty forecast.

We could hear 6J37 coming long before it appeared. It's a rising gradient at 1 in 440 on the Up Main for much of the length of the tunnel with a gradient change just before emerging.

The grids sounded lovely despite the competing noise from the strong blustery wind and cascading waters of Force Gill.

56105 leads 56049 as it emerges from Blea Moor tunnel running 23 minutes early. It was creeping by this point waiting for the semaphore signal for the loop to clear.
