The house on the cliff, Holworth, Dorset, England
An exciting, as well as scenic, place to live. This landslip is called Burning Cliff; it sometimes catches fire and can remain alight for several years. This is due to oil shales contained within the Kimmeridge clay. After a landslide, these ignite when exposed to the air. However, danger may not be imminent. The last time this happened was in 1826, although there have been recent fires elsewhere along this line of coast.
