Rogue One: A Star Wars Story Review!
So tonight I watched Rogue One: A Star Wars Story and I loved it! I enjoyed this movies way more than I enjoyed TFA. And this is defiantly in my top three favorite movies of this year.
Let's talk about my negatives first, because there are not a lot. So for starters, is the "continuity" error with the new types of troopers. I don't like how they made Death Troopers and how they were so prevalent throughout the film, since they are no where to be seen in the original trilogy. And the Scarif Troopers, I understand what happens to them, but no spoilers. Also, I felt the first act and some of the second act didn't really feel like Star Wars to me and especially take place pretty much at the same time as A New Hope, but the third act did and it kicked ass. And my biggest complaint is the lack of Darth Vader. It didn't make the movie suck because of that, but for how much they were showing him in the trailers, it was disappointing.
Now let's get into my positives for the film. First of all, the cast and most of the characters were pretty solid. Jyn Erso, K-2SO, and Chirrut Imwe were my favorite characters. Also, the visuals and the action scenes were fantastic. And the explanation for something was great. I'll probably make a post for spoiler talk, let me know. But really without giving to much away, that's about it.
So overall I had a fantastic time with this movie and will be on my top 10 movies of 2016 list, I'll be making soon. I give Rogue One: A Star Wars Story an A!
