Batman: Return of the Caped Crusaders Movie Review
So I finally got this movie and watched it over the weekend. I honestly had no idea this movie even came out until I saw it at Wal-Mart, or I would've seen it in theaters.
Anyway, I love the 60s Batman TV show, I think it's great and this movie I think still had that vibe, but still wasn't too campy for 2016.
Now the voice acting I thought was good. It was so awesome having Adam West and Burt Ward reprise their roles as the dynamic duo once again, with Robin saying his one liners left and right, and Julie Newmar returning as Catwoman. Due to their age though, the voice acting was sometimes a little rough.
Holy hectic hash-slinging slasher, that brings us to our next critique, now some of the story elements were hilarious. Not just jokes or what ever, but just situational humor. Like at one point Batman and Robin are stuck on a huge TV dinner, at a TV dinner factory and that's why like I said, this movie still really had the vibe that the TV show did, which I ever so enjoy.
One really cool aspect of this movie was the intro and Easter eggs/cameos. The intro was awesome, introducing the characters from their first appearance comics, was a really cool scene and really fun to watch. And the Easter eggs I liked a lot was at the credits them showing Batman running with two bombs now, paying homage to Batman: The Movie and some of the cameos from villains from the TV show also, some of my favorites being, Mister Freeze and Egg Head.
Now my biggest complaint with this movie and this goes for all the DC animated movies, is the animation. It's not horrendous, but being now 2016 they could definitely step up their game. It's just choppy in a lot of parts.
So over all I really enjoyed this movie, so I give it an A-
