Die Feuerwehr Hamburg hat mit der Branddirektor Westphal ein neues Feuerlöschboot in der Flotte, das alle bisherigen Löschboote in den Schatten stellt. 43,5 Meter lang ist das neue Löschboot der Feuerwehr und kostete 18 Millionen Euro. Am 26. November 2018 wurde das Schiff an der Überseebrücke getauft. Das Spezialschiff ist eines der größten, modernsten und innovativsten Löschboote in Europa. Die Wasserwerfer spritzen bis zu 180 Meter weit und 110 Meter hoch. Dafür können bis zu 120.000 Liter Wasser pro Minute gepumpt werden. Zusätzlich besitzt das Schiff noch drei weitere kleinere kombinierte Wasser- und Schaumstrahlrohren.
