'Pink Pearl' azaleas on limestone ledge

These Kurume hybrid azaleas are in a bed with special acidified soil behind a native stone retaining wall on the limestone ledge. That's white petunia in with it. I'm not sure why I continue to try to grow azaleas -- this is a most inhospitable environment for them, especially when we have summers like last year -- but I love them and keep trying.
