Beautiful maple-leaf-like foliage of Hibiscus acetosella

I grow the Hibiscus acetosella for the foliage but the blooms are actually beautiful, also. They're just usually hidden and they're almost the same color as the foliage so they don't show up. (The orange Hibiscus rosa-sinensis bloom looks pretty against the H. acetosella foliage.)

 

This Hibiscus acetosella is the 'Red Shield' cultivar and its bloom is not as showy as some of the other H. acetosella cultivars. I've put several bloom photos in the first comment.
