Sundance Hibiscus

This red-throated yellow hibiscus blossom was about 8 inches across and was in a nursery in Lakeway, Texas, west of Austin. This hybrid (hibiscus rosa sinensis) is called Sundance and stands out even in the midst of a garden full of flowers. In addition to the color is the protruding central structure that looks like a combination pistil and stamen with the stigma at the longest point.
