Casa Mila (La Pedrera) by Gaudi', Barcelona, Spain
Casa Mila (La Pedrera which means "the quarry") was designed and built by archtect Antoni' Gaudi' at Passeig de Gràcia 92, Carrer Provenca 261 in Barcelona, Spain. This is just up the street from Placa de Catalunya. There is another Gaudi building almost across the street from this one. Gaudi' also desgned and was building the Sagrada Familia at his death in 1926 when he was run over by a tram. In 1938, anarchists destroyed his blueprints and plans for the Sagrada Familia. As a result, there is conflict over whether the work done since then is what Gaudi wanted.
