Horseshoe Bend

This is one of the most photographed places in the world, but I still decided to do my take on a sunset picture here.

 

This was my second visit, first for sunset.

 

I arrived an hour before sunset and there were already about 200 people jostling for a position on the edge of the 1000 foot (300 metre) cliffs of Glen Canyon - some way too close for my comfort.

 

I found a good spot until an extremely rude person setup their tripod right across my field of view, so I had to move across a little rather than start an argument on a cliff edge.

 

So I didn't get the full shot of the river I wanted but I think this still came out very well considering.
