Ice at Sunset
As the title suggests, this is ice observed during the evening, when sun was going down.
Yes, Just big blocks of ice. With zero visibility behind, due to a thick blanket of fog.
Shot taken on June 7th 2012 in the Nivolet plateau (2.612 m), Gran Paradiso National Park (Italy).
I think that ice and very compact snow are elements truly deserving a photo! As in this case...
In fact, this presence is fundamental for survival at high altitude. It means water! Both for drinking and cooking!
