Hoth Planet
Night shot taken during a night spent in the month of November near the artificial Lake Agnel (2.300 m), obviously frozen, in the Gran Paradiso National Park (Italy).
This image has a dual lighting:
from above - the moon
from the right - the lake's lighthouse (turned on for all night, even though there was not a soul for miles).
In the distance you can see the mountains Levanne (3.619 m).
The whole area was literally flooded by snow since the lower valley, about 15 kilometers below.
Forget the Nivolet area as you know it in the summer, here the situation was completely polar... and that's actually the reason why I've decided to spend one night with my tent, although I must admit that I have not repeated the experience.
This photograph is quite suitable to complete the "water theme", as shown in previous pictures in the liquid state, then gaseous and now... solid.
