Sunset Over the Nile ep. V - "Lockdown"
February 16, 2038
Cairo, Egypt
"Lockdown"
The night of the 16th was calm. The temperature was dropping and the patrols of UAPR forces took their nightly stroll around their newly captured capital city. However, when the Yousef Patrol entered the Souk al-Mutahar (سوق المطهر), the familiar aromas of spices and luxury goods failed to greet them. Instead, the air felt thin and bland. Recognizing that something was wrong, squad leader Ibrahim al-Mowad radioed for backup. But he was too late. One by one, the stalls behind them began to explode with force and vigor. Ibrahim took off, racing down the lane of the market to try and escape. Yet, the explosions caught up to him, and he was engulfed in debris and wares from one of Cairo's most elegant markets. The NATO counterattack had been launched, and without even knowing it, the UAPR was on the verge of losing everything that they worked towards creating in the last few months. At long last, the final battle for Egypt had begun.
