50029 leaving Burton
Class 50s were not normally seen on the cross country route through Burton however once Doncaster works became responsible for their refurbishment and overhaul, they would occasionally pop up on a service to and from the WR.
On this particular Saturday I’d took the short ride to Derby for a couple of hours and was amazed to see 50029 on my return train home. The 1O86 1400/1322 Leeds/Hull - Gatwick. Here it departs Burton and heads south. 26/1/85
