71000 at Loughborough

By September 1986 the restoration of 71000 was nearing completion and it had already ventured out hauling a short train, albeit with some con rods missing. By this stage it had gained its final coat of paint and was only a matter of weeks before its rededication and a full return to traffic. 28/9/86
