Burtonian 150
Class 101 at Burton
Not Barnsley but Birmingham bound! For some reason Class 101, 116 and even Class 105s appeared on 'Midlands Link' Nottingham - Birmingham local trains when this revamped service was introduced in 1984. Normal fayre was an Etches Park Class 120 and I can only assume these others were drafted in to cover for the additional units required.
Sufficient 120s must have become available eventually as these other units became more scarce, although many had Class 101 centre cars added due to asbestos problems I believe. 10/11/84
