HST at Burton

With the introduction of the new summer timetable in 1987, a number of named trains were re-introduced. One such working was the 'The Devonian' which was adorned with a suitable headboard for its first day of operation and is seen here on the northbound 12:38 Plymouth Leeds return working. This was applied as a sticker for the obvious reasons of a lack of suitable place to mount a headboard and the name was continued on the window destination stickers throughout its operation. 11/5/87
