Identity Crisis

The station at Duddeston was formerly named Vauxhall and the station gave evidence of this back in March 1986.

 

Little did I know at the time that within 18 months I’d be travelling here every day, as I stated my railway career with BR at the nearby Saltley works. The carriage shed wall behind the platform blew down in a storm across the railway in 1989, during the time I was working in Birmingham.
