'As soon as I heard it was a new film from Twain, I rushed down to see it ... I thought it was outstanding ! The approach was pure Twain. The woman was suffering. He drew out her emotions like one of those juicers you see on TV with the tomatoes and stuff ... ya know ? Excellent !

'This was the first Twain movie I had been to see and I thought the outfits and costuming on the Actress were wonderful ! Her hair was perfect for each scene ! Her dramatic style was perfection ! [ To be honest, I prefer Twain's still life movies. However, this movie was filled with so much power and emotional punch .. it just hit me where I live. I really felt for the Actress. Although I can barely see her !! The Cinematographer should be dumped !! Where's his camera focused ?? .. Still, the directing by Twain was solid ! I've taught this kid everything he knows about film and various techniques so it came as no surprise to me when I saw his new film that it would be at least passable in quality. It did fairly well at the box office. I really think he would have been wise to use LumiPro , but ..? The guy has the right to use other methods and styles if he wants to .. after all, .. it's his money and his Producer, Reese Witherspoon is extremely savvy.
All-in-all I'd say it was above par for a new Twain movie. I did like the script and the Actress really gave out her emotions like a pro.

Hey ! I don't care what people think about Twain or his movies. I just went and saw this one and I really enjoyed the heck out of it . I loved the color styles and the acting was phenomenal ! Twain is very much a Method Actor himself and he told me to 'be one with the straw , with the bale' .. I had to dig deep to get there .. it wasn't easy to 'feel' that emotion .. and with Randy Newman on the piano and Linda right there singing during all the filming and me trying to get into character .. Twain not allowing me to have any chocolate. ... I'd say at about day number four, ..I finally broke down and became the real emotional girl that Twain had been looking for .. I just lay over the bale of hay and became the woman he had been searching for. It wasn't easy. I have to admit I learned so much from taking that part. I want to thank Twain and also Reese Witherspoon's Production Company for all their support and coffee allowance during the very long days and nights of shootings. I've grown now as an Actress and I think I have a real shot at some upcoming HBO productions.
