Update: June 28 2018
A year has passed. I am in such a better place now. I have carved out a new life for myself. One without abuse, hatred, fear. Breaking free from your abuser is no easy feat. I am so incredibly proud of how far I have come in the past year. Soon, very soon, it will be over. I will never forget what he did to me, however, I forgive him. If I did not, he would continue to hold power over me, control. I wish him well moving forward, I fear for his next victim.
If I can do this, anyone can. I was so incredibly low, broken, devastated, isolated, alone.
Reach our to your local women's shelter. My life began again when I did.
If you can, support your local shelters. You will be saving lives.
