Welney sunset 20250130--167

66769 League Managers Association / Paul Taylor Our Inspiration is at the head of 4L11 11.38 Masborough - Felixstowe North, pictured crossing the flooded Welney Washes (between Manea and Ely). [Pole, 5/6 sections (~6.8m)]

I eventually managed to get the live view image on the camera to display on the monitor and stay displayed when I raised the pole to the required height (although I had problems again after this), and shot this eastbound container train. This has been cropped significantly from the original (mostly on the left), as the image I originally had in mind involved the train running much further across the bridge. However, that then blocked most of the view of the sun reflected in the water. Of course, I'd started firing quite early, so just used one of the earlier frames. In addition, after the train had passed Manea and had started to climb up to the Washes bridges, the sun dropped into the cloud and much of the orange in the sky was lost. This has had the colour saturation increased a little. Comparing this with a test shot (with no train) taken two minutes earlier, I think the colours on that were better (as it didn't rely so much on the reflections).
