The biomass that nearly blocked the Grid 20241113--019
66199 passes the Singleton Birch Lime Works near Melton Ross (east of Barnetby), working 6H63 10.13 Immingham Biomass Loading Point - Drax Power Station loaded biomass. [Pole, 5/6 sections (~6.8m)]
I was here waiting for the Grimsby-bound railhead treatment train (3S13), which again had 56105 on the rear. I'd checked my positioning for the RHTT using the previous eastbound Transpennine Express service, the RHTT being a similar length to a three-car class 185 DMU (actually, almost three and a half cars). The 185 was about five minutes late, and 6H63 was let out at Brocklesby Jn. almost a minute behind schedule but lost a further four minutes between there and Barnetby... I was therefore wondering where it had got to, and was starting to get worried it might block the shot of 3S13 which was already at Barnetby. In the event, the shot I've uploaded of 3S13 was taken two minutes and six seconds after this one; the back of the train had long passed me, but I understand people at New Barnetby (or was it Knabbs Bridge?) were not so lucky.
