1950's Albion Clansman FT103N Mobile Workshop, The Muckleburgh Military Collection.

One of a batch of 60 Albion Clansman FT103N Mobile Workshop vehicles supplied to the Royal Electrical & Mechanical Engineers (REME) from 1950, the vehicles where kitted out with a lathe, drilling machine and other workshop tools for field repairs to be carried out. For power they would have towed a generator trailer.

Not many of these vehicles remain, there are a few of them in preservation but many had been turned into commercial vehicles, with less than a handful retaining the original rear body. The Clansman was fitted with an Albion EN286, 4 cylinder diesel engine and a five speed Albion gearbox, driving both rear axles in a 6x4 configuration.

This is definitely an Albion vehicle, but the radiator grill has two ''shoulders'' and the Clansman is the nearest model I could identify it to, but in all the photos I have seen, the radiator has a level top ? any further information would be greatfully received.
