I've been involved in management for butterflies for many years, so couldn't wait to see how they are doing this year. Luckily they are not far from my home, so I can pop down and look out for them. So far this year there have been really good numbers of Small Pearl Bordered Fritillaries. This was one of the first I saw this year. Eyes on the prize is by M Ward. They are like little jewels that always lift the spirits.
