Great Wall of China

A distinctive geological feature just outside the Flinders Ranges National Park is a rocky ridge line known as the Great wall of China due to its resemblance to the original. Scientists believe the wall was formed when the rock surrounding the much harder and resistant quartz was weathered and eroded away.

As you get closer to the ridge line, you can really see the resemblance. However, I was fascinated to see this sign in the middle of the South Australian outback and wanted that to feature into my composition.
