Red-Tailed Hawk

Buteo jamaicensis

 

Drove up a hill to Crane Creek Regional Park as the sun set and happened upon this large hawk, perched and staring out. After the hawk took off, a scrub jay flew up to the perch and stole the show. Couldn't believe the shots I was getting in such gorgeous light. Hope you enjoy.
