My rainbow dress: right side
Where does a girl who is "59 going on 19" go shopping for dresses? The young women's department at Macy's. You know, the place where they sell cami tops, miniskirts, maxidresses, schoolwear, clubwear, and prom dresses. I think most T-girls first buy sexy clothes. Not me. I was poor and needed versatile stuff that was pretty but could be worn most places. When I transitioned, I suddenly needed a whole bunch of things I could wear to work. My body wasn't sexy yet, so I emphasized my face, nails, hair, and long legs.
Only after I had been on hormones a few years did I consider trying on cami tops that revealed my newly developed boobs. I was 52 at the time and starting to get the body of a 14 or 15 year old girl. At age 54 I got my first bikini and my first strapless dress at 55. My friends, lovers, and the public seemed to like what they saw.
