My body, my choice. Your body, your choice. The logic is plain to see whether we are talking about reproductive freedom. the decision to make alterations necessary to transition into a gender different from the biological sex present at birth, the personal decision for an adult to use psychoactive drugs, or a person's choice for their own hairstyle, clothing, jewelry, or makeup. A person's body belongs exclusively to themselves, not their mate, family, religious community, or nation, but so-called "conservatives" want to control a person's body, inside and out and dictate all their life's choices for both adults and children, men and women.

Healthcare is a human right, and birth control is an essential part of healthcare. Abortion on demand is a necessary part of birth control when other measures fail and is rarely the first option for most women. An abortion is a personal and private decision exclusively by a woman with the advice and assistance of her licensed physician and no one else.
Contrary to what "conservatives" relying on religious superstition believe, human life does not begin at conception. A fertilized egg at the complexity level of a protozoan is not a human being. A fetus at the complexity level of a rotifer is not a human being even though it has a set of organs just above multicellular level. Neither is a fetus the size and complexity of a tadpole a human being. You can believe or disbelieve what you want, but it doesn't make it so. Science is based on reality proven by observation and experimentation, not superstition, guesswork, or ideology.
The real reason that "conservatives" oppose abortion and birth control is for men to maintain control of women's bodies. sexuality, life choices, and social-economic roles, and some of the more backward religious cults want to gain and hold control over society. The "conservatives" belonging to today's version of the RepUGLYcan Party claim to be protecting children. This is complete bullshit as shown by their voting record.
RepUGLYcans consistently vote against public health expenditures including pre-natal care for mothers and post-natal care for mothers and infants, childhood nutrition programs, childcare for working mothers, public education, public libraries, public parks, and public transportation. Once a baby is born, the FORCED BIRTHERS don't care about quality of life for the children, especially if they are born to poor families. Of course, they always seem to come up with plenty of money for defense, police, and highways and airports wanted by Big Oil. And while they want to control women's bodies, they oppose regulations for environmental quality, workplace safety, product safety, or any restrictions on guns and automobiles.
If the legal precedence defined by Roe v. Wade is overturned by the Supreme Court illegally stacked by McConnell and Trump, Justice Alito specifically mentions LGBTQ+ specific precedents like Obergefell (marriage equality) and Lawrence (establishing the right to same-sex relationships) as cases based on rights that aren’t stated in the Constitution and aren’t “deeply rooted in history” meaning not originally written by SLAVEHOLDING WHITE MALE PROPERTY OWNERS over 200 years ago. If Justice Alito actually believes his own "originalist" bullshit, then that would also mean the US should not have expanded west of the Mississippi River, not built the Transcontinental Railroad, not built the Interstate Highway System, not built an Air Force, and not fought against Nazi or Japanese aggression in WWII.
If the precedent set by Obergefell and Lawrence were overturned, the laws currently on the books of some states defining marriage as “between and man and a woman” and assigning penalties for “engaging in deviate sexual intercourse with another individual of the same sex” would actually be enforceable and exactly what "conservatives" want to do. And after they strip away all LGBTQ rights or force us into the closet, they will strip away all rights of Black and Native Americans and reimpose indentured servitude on most working Americans. Women would once again be totally under the control of their father until they come under the control of their husband. The right to vote and hold public office would once again be exclusively held by white male property owners. We must not allow this to happen.
The same dark forces who want to take away a women's RIGHT to control her own body are the same dark forces that oppose LGBTQ rights, racial equality, social equity, environmental justice, and are the same people who support Putin's war of aggression and rape on the people of Ukraine. Today's RepUGLYcan Party has allowed itself to become a Trump personality cult. You're either all for him or all against him. Trump has publicly stated his support for Putin and sucked up to him at every opportunity when he was Prez 45.
