The Emperor's New Clothes - Male Ringneck Pheasant Displaying Rainbow Array of Feathers

Thanks to you all for the very nice compliments on this beautiful bird.

 

He was in the process of landing and flared his feathers to break his speed as he came in for touchdown.

 

Maybe someday I'll be able to catch a similar shot (but from the front of the bird) of a male Ringneck Pheasant as he displays during breeding season...now, that would be so very cool!!!
