Fickle - adj: irresolution, likely to change, casually changeable, unstable, not constant in loyalty
We are fickle as frost.
We come in during the night hours,
moved by diverse forces and show up in all of our splendor,
bright and shining in the morning,
beautifully covering and adhering to the branchy skeletons of our belief.
Then the sun. The wind. The warmth.
With the slightest change, we are chased away and flee,
disappearing into nothingness,
dissolved.
Possibly waiting for the next magical night of perfect conditions,
our desired circumstances, the suitable and comfortable forces
that will cause us to cling to another momentary illusion of
perfect triumph.
Yet...
The boughs of truth remain, naked and resolute.
